Instead of likable, she is starting to seem a bit shallow. After finishing Howling at the Moon, the first installment of this series, I was eagerly anticipating reading On the Prowl.

I usually don’t read books out of order, but I had Karen MacInerney on my author’s alert at the library for the beading book that she finished for Barbara Burnett Smith and the Gray Whale Inn mysteries and this book was teh for me.
I was interested in the disappearing werewolves, and I like learning more about being a werewolf as Sophie learns. Want to Read saving….
I find the mysterious aspects of the series really interesting but felt that Sophie was a little stupid in some of her actions in this story. To make matters worse, the Houston Pack are now aware of her existence and don’t like rogue werewolves running around.
A book that has been read and does not look macinernsy, but is in excellent condition. But other than that, everything is just fine!
I like the way MacInerney gives the characters dilemmas that are similar to every day life. The book doesn’t entirely explain what’s up with him; I’m hoping the final installment will.

Sophie Garou has just been made partner at her office and has a boyfriend that she loves. I am fairly sure that someone who was an aunt in the first book was called a mother in this which just made me stop and forget about the story for a while.
It’s like a supernatural Stephanie Plum! Follow Sophie through this rollicking trilogy as she navigates the twists and turns of an ancient werewolf code with a modern spin. I hoped that the reason she was dislikeable in the first book was because she was going to go through character growth but unfortunately that did not happen in this macinnerney.
